Overview

What is Adult Companion Services?

Loneliness is one of the biggest health risks for older adults, and it is also one of the most preventable. Our adult companion services pair your loved one with a caregiver who genuinely enjoys spending time with them. This is not just someone sitting in the room. Our companions engage in conversation, share meals, play games, go for walks, accompany to appointments, and become a trusted presence in your loved one's life. The goal is simple: make sure no one feels alone.

Frequently asked questions

What do companion caregivers actually do during visits?
Whatever makes your loved one's day better. That might mean conversation over coffee, watching a favorite show together, going for a walk, playing cards, helping organize photos, accompanying them to a doctor's appointment, or simply being a calm, friendly presence. Activities are guided by your loved one's interests and energy level.
How is this different from homemaker services?
Companion services focus on social engagement and emotional wellbeing. The caregiver is there for your loved one, not for the house. Homemaker services focus on household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. Many families use both together.
Can a companion help with transportation?
Yes. Our companions can accompany your loved one to medical appointments, grocery shopping, community events, or anywhere they need to go. They provide both transportation support and the comfort of having someone familiar by their side.
How many hours per week do most families use?
It varies widely. Some families start with 4 to 6 hours per week and adjust from there. Others need daily visits. We will help you figure out the right schedule based on your loved one's needs and your family's situation.
